Report anti-social behaviour?
Are you having problems with anti-social behaviour?
(Scroll down for the online reporting form)
If you are suffering nuisance, harassment or domestic violence and you have not already reported it to Hexagon, please tell us about it. We take all complaints seriously and will always
- Acknowledge your complaint in writing.
- Send you an anti-social behaviour information pack (or information about domestic violence services).
- Investigate your complaint.
- Visit you within 5 (working) days (sooner if you report harassment or domestic violence, or the anti-social behaviour is very serious).
- Contact the person you are complaining about (unless you ask us not to), and any witnesses within ten days.
- Discuss with you and agree a plan of action, and confirm it in writing to you, within ten days of your complaint.
We always carry out a ‘test of reasonableness’ and if we consider your complaint is unreasonable, or we do not think any intervention by Hexagon is required, we will say so and explain why.
Our Policy Document and our Service Standards set out our approach to tackling anti-social behaviour and the level of service you can expect.
Anti-social Behaviour – working to improve services
We know that how we deal with complaints of anti-social behaviour is very important to Hexagon residents, and it is an area where we are trying to improve our service.
As part of our efforts to improve services, we now have a system of ‘continuous feedback’, where we aim to ask every resident that has complained of anti-social behaviour what they think of the service. This includes complaints of nuisance, harassment or domestic violence.
Now, every time a case is closed, or when a current case has been ongoing for 2-3 months, we contact the person making the complaint and carry out a short survey. The purpose is not to discuss the actual anti-social behaviour case, but to ask if the complainant was satisfied with the way Hexagon staff handled their complaint.
We are confident that by listening to residents opinions of our service, and acting on what people tell us, we can continue to improve the way we work with residents who are suffering anti-social behaviour.
