Mental Health - Support Services

Mental illness has long been recognised as a reason for many vulnerable people losing their homes. Hexagon provides a range of housing and support for people who suffer with mental health issues, to enable them to live independently and to maintain their tenancies.

In Lewisham, Newstead Road provides high support to 12 people in self-contained flats in a purpose-built property with full mobility access and additional shared facilities. Staff work alongside the clients develop daily living skills and support is flexible according to need.  Clients are actively supported to develop skills through training, employment, social and leisure activities, which help to build confidence and increase community participation. Attached to Newstead Road is an Outreach Service which supports people to live in their own flats and clients can move from Newstead Road into this service when they are ready.
