Bexley Mayor opens Resource Centre

A Resource Centre at Slade Green and the Slade Green Recreational Play Area were officially opened recently by the Mayor of Bexley, Councillor Robert Bryant.

The opening of the Resource Centre and the Play Area was a joint event that was supported and funded by the Slade Green RSL partnerships. Hexagon contributed £50,000 to the play area and worked with other agencies including Orbit Housing Association, CDS Co-op, L&Q Group, Community Safety Action Zone and Bexley Council. The event was also attended by local Ward Councillors for the borough, staff members from all the RSLs and local residents.

The Centre will offer residents access to computers and the internet, the Hi Life 50+ project, training and provide a place for residents to meet and organise community activities. Hexagon will also be running information and advice sessions from the Centre.
