Domestic Violence
What is Domestic Violence?
Domestic violence is a term that describes a wide range of behaviours that takes place within an intimate or family-type relationship and forms a pattern of harming behaviour which includes physical, psychological, or sexual violence. The majority of cases of domestic violence are against women carried out by men. However it is recognised that men do occasionally experience violence from their partner. It traverses all classes, races and cultures and covers violence and abuse that occurs within heterosexual and gay relationships.
