Greenwich Floating Support

Hexagon’s floating support service in the London Borough of Greenwich supports people to sustain their tenancy. This service provides support with a range of practical issues, including:

• Applying for benefits, managing money and dealing with bills and debts;
• Finding employment training or getting into education;
• Setting up home and developing skills to shop, cook and clean;
• Learning how to maintain a tenancy and get along with the neighbours;
• Taking care of physical and mental health needs;
• Developing relationships and overcoming isolation;
• Accessing other services in the community such as leisure pursuits, faith centres/places of worship or medical services.

The service is provided by a Tenancy Support Officer (TSO) who works out with the client what they need and how it can be achieved. The TSO agrees a support plan which states the frequency of contact and the likely duration of support. Floating support is temporary and can be provided for as little as a few weeks to deal with a specific issue/crisis or for up to two years.

This service is open to anyone aged 16 to 64 in the borough of Greenwich and in need of support to live independently.

We accept referrals to the service from Greenwich Housing Department or Registered Social Landlords and from Social Services.
