Hexagon Housing Association will be holding its first Residents Conference on Saturday 23rd June 2007 which will provide an opportunity for residents to discuss their views on aspects of the housing service. The conference is being held at Davenport House in Greenwich and will start at 10:30am and finish at 4pm.
The day will give residents the chance to speak directly to Hexagon staff and gather information from displays on a range of services and from partner agencies that will be in attendance on the day.
Residents will be able to receive feedback on Hexagons performance over the past year as well as hear about new initiatives under consideration. It will also be a chance for residents to express their views and priorities through participating in the workshops which will form the major element of the day.
There will be 4 workshops: Repairs Service, the Time Bank, Involving Young People and a DIY session. The latter is a practical workshop and will give residents some “hands on” experience of tackling those little jobs which help to improve their homes. The workshops will be run twice during the day to help ensure that residents can have the chance to attend the workshops of their choice.
Other activities taking place throughout the day include a Question & Answer session and a Prize Draw. Lunch will also be provided as well as refreshments throughout the day.
All Hexagon residents are invited. Entry to the Conference will be by ticket only and places are limited. Tickets are free and can be obtained by contacting the Residents Involvement Section at cfoxwell@hexagon.org.uk by Friday 8th June.
Tom McCormack, Chief Executive said “We aim to provide a variety of different ways in which residents can engage with Hexagon and have a direct input into service provision. I would like to thank the Residents Conference Working Party for all their hard work and without whom this event would not be possible.”
