Residents Forum
The Residents Forum is an 'umbrella' group representing the views and interests of all Hexagon’s residents and works as a consultative and advisory body.
Members of the Forum have a real ability to influence and shape the policies and procedures that guide the delivery of services provided by Hexagon. The Forum helps to make sure that the services provided are what residents really want.
Who We Are
The Forum as a group works in partnership with Hexagon to help keep a clear focus on the needs of residents and to improve service delivery. For the Forum to be effective and achieve our aims we need a strong group with representatives from all neighbourhoods in which Hexagon has its stock.
The officers of the Forum are:-
Chairperson – Adrian Ingram
Vice Chair – Marlene Francis
Secretary – Sharon Brown
The Residents Forum is planning to hold this first Annual General Meeting in June 2008.
What We Do
The Forum's committee are recommeding a draft constitution for approval. This is a formal document that states the aims and objectives of the Forum and how it will be run. This will be presented to Hexagon's residents at the Forum's first Annual General Meeting on Saturday 20th September 2008. You can view the draft constitution by clicking here.
The Forum will be looking at a number of issues in 2008:
• monitoring Hexagon’s complaint procedure and overseeing performance in handling complaints
• help to plan the Residents Day
• reviewing how Anti Social Behaviour issues are responded to and dealt with by Hexagon
• monitor levels of residents satisfaction with responsive repairs performance
How You Can Get Involved
Membership of the Forum is open to any Hexagon resident over the age of 16. Both Hexagon staff and Forum members are available to provide help, support and induction to new residents who wish to join. It is also an opportunity to make new friends, participate in useful training events, and discuss housing issues with staff who have the power to make changes.
If you would like more details about the Forum please contact msimmons@hexagon.org.uk
