Hexagon has stepped up its commitment to working with tenants and residents to make their communities better places to live. We set up a Community Development Team three years ago to take forward our strategy, which focuses on helping tenants to take up training opportunities and gain access to funding for community projects. Recent successes include:

• Securing funding to run a DIY skills training programme and set up a skills time bank network, enabling people to swap their expertise.
• A free information and advice service for tenants and residents in Southwark.
• Leisure facilities for young people in Bexley.
• Securing funding from the London Development Agency to provide learning skills for residents aged 50+
