Hexagon appoints new Operations Director

Earlier this year we restructured the senior leadership team, which included replacing the roles of Property Services Director and Housing Services Director, with an Operations Director. This will ensure we have a single directing voice for all customer services. Support will be provided by newly created Head of Property Services and Head of Housing Services posts.

We are pleased to announce that Andy Vincent has been appointed to this new role and will take up the position on 17 October 2023. Andy is currently the Corporate Head of Housing for Runnymede Borough Council. In October 2019, Runnymede Council received a regulatory notice for breaching the Home Standard. They appointed Andy in January 2021 to turn this around, which he has successfully achieved.

Andy has worked in social housing across the country for over 26 years from Leeds and Bradford to Wealden in Sussex. He started his career in homelessness, and has worked in business development, managed repairs contracts, overseen capital works programmes, and led housing management services. He has a strong track record in turning services around which will add vigour to our team as we accelerate our service improvement journey.

Outside of work, Andy has two young children who keep him busy, and in his spare time, he enjoys cycling.

Andy says, “I can’t wait to start with Hexagon. I am particularly keen to help build on the organisation’s track record in reaching and engaging with residents. I want to focus on understanding and addressing the causes of complaints, seek to improve rent collection performance and ensure we meet our health and safety and building safety compliance obligations. I am aware we have some challenging times ahead – I am hoping that my recent experience of helping Runnymede end its Regulatory Notice and being through three Audit Commission inspections can help Hexagon deliver its Corporate Plan objectives to reset, stabilise and re-energise”.

We look forward to welcoming Andy to the team in October.
