At Hexagon we know it can be a worrying time when we receive reports that we will be going through periods of severe weather. So we wanted to make sure for your wellbeing, that you are aware of the current amber and yellow weather warnings issued for the UK, by the Met Office. We also highlight some tips that we hope will help to keep you safe in your home.
Heavy rain, strong winds and in some areas snow have been brought to the UK by Storm Christoph. This has mainly been in the North, Scotland and Wales, with some areas experiencing heavy flooding.
London & The South East
Over the next several days London & The South East may experience periods of high winds and intermittent heavy rainfall. It will also still feel very cold.
Taking Reasonable Precautions.
- If you have access to a garden, balcony, or other outside space, please try to secure any loose and easily lifted objects, that may cause damage, due to high winds.
- Keep windows and doors firmly fastened, especially those which are exposed to heavy winds.
- In cases where you have no option but to travel by car, slow down and be mindful of periods of heavy rainfall causing visibility issues and buffeting winds.
We hope none of the guidance above is needed, our best advice is to follow the same Covid guidance as we are all doing, staying home and keeping you, your family and others safe. Further information can be found directly from the Met Office by following the link, www.metoffice.gov.uk
